The Rough Draft

If you can't go through it. Go around it.

Today I finally made it back to the Brampton WWI Fly In and Vintage Meet after a two year absence.  As usual there were old standards like the Fokker Tri Plane, the Neuport and the Sopwith but this year a Cessna 195 stopped by and that was something to see.  I had my full kit on hand and so I shot a variety of lenses and style.  HDR was a big part of my day but HDR is no good for motion photography.  The Lensbaby Edge 80 added some whimsy and the Double Glass Optic caused me a bit of frustration (as it sometimes does).

I heard a comment: I wonder if they ever looked that good rolling out factory fresh 1918?
Either the aircraft in Brampton are very well done or you have a super lens! Cheers

        We have a 1942 Stearman C-FOXU – kept @ CZBA… you might like a shot of that?

I’m always interested in shooting vintage aircraft. I’m right on the Mississauga, Oakville border, so not too far away from that site.
