The Rough Draft

If you can't go through it. Go around it.

Some good friends of ours currently based in Ottawa are heading back to BC and Vancouver Island and even though they’ve been out here for two years, we’ve never been able to juggle work and life to get together.  But when push comes to shove you make it happen.

It’s been almost twenty years since I was on Parliament Hill and that time we didn’t tour the outer grounds (it was a band trip) instead we concentrated instead on the interior of the building and of course the workings of the house proper.  And while the interior of the building is very nice, it’s pretty standard marble and column stuff.

They’ve spent a lot of money on renovating the exterior of the Hill’s buildings (still on going) and it shows.

The Library and by far my favorite part of the Hill.

A closer look at the library weather vane and it’s cool corner turret.

It was a great trip and really nice to see old friends and catch up.
