The Rough Draft

If you can't go through it. Go around it.

Seriously and there’s so many of them we deal with on a daily basis.  Many are what I like to call the glancing idiot.  They’re just passing through or passing by.   The chances of them creeping back into your life are slim to none.  There are of course others out there who you have to deal with on a daily basis.  The stationary idiot.  You know who they are cause they’re there every day, same time, same place.  For some unfathomable reason they almost always tend to be in a position of authority.  I actually think the concept of promoting a person to a position they can do the least damage (or as happens so many times, the most damage).

Now I know it’s impossible to cut the majority of idiots out of your life but when you get an opportunity, don’t hesitate.  Hoick that little bugger right out of there.  You’ll be amazed how quickly the hole they leave behind will shrink and fade.  The best part is the reduction of that much stress in your life does wonders for your heart.  Not having to store any of their inane chatter in your brain does wonders for your mind too.

I had an opportunity to do some work this week and I’m always game for that but when it was revealed to me who the work would be for, it was easy to say no.  I’m not about to do anything for that person or the organization he works for that will help or further him or his company in any way.   I don’t want to look at them, I don’t want to talk to them.  For me, they’re not on my planet anymore.

And neither is the stress of dealing with their bullshit.

Give it a shot, I’m sure you’ll like the results too.
